The veteran actor said their decision to wed was 'kinda on the spur of the moment'

Dick Van Dyke is a newlywed!
The “Mary Poppins” star, 86, tied the knot with makeup artist Arlene Silver, 40, on Feb. 29, according to RumorFix.com.
"Kinda on the spur of the moment, we just decided Leap Day would be the best time to do it," Van Dyke explains to the gossip site.

The veteran actor first met Silver six years ago at the SAG Awards, where he said he was “bowled over by her beauty.”
He then hired her to be his personal makeup artist, and the two became friends. However, as Van Dyke explains, their working relationship eventually turned romantic.
"The last couple of years we kind of fell in love," he said. "She keeps up with me."
This is the second marriage for Van Dyke. He was previously married to Margie Willett, the mother of his four children whom he divorced in 1984. He then lived with longtime love Michelle Triola for more than 30 years until her death in 2009.
"I'm not a loner. I have to have a life partner," Van Dyke admits. "I found the perfect one."

Is Snooki Engaged?
Snooki, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Jionni LaValle later this year, was photographed Monday sporting some serious bling on her ring-finger.
The diamond, which looks to be a pink square-cut design, helped to fuel rumors spun earlier this week when a source confirmed that LaValle had indeed popped the question.
Talks of tying the knot is nothing new for the tanned duo; "I know he's the one so I know the ring's gonna come soon,” Snooki told People less than two months ago. “He knows it should be big, cuz if it's small I'm saying no. Like, 'Get another ring!' "
We think Snooki will be happy with this one.

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied Secretly Married?
Natalie Portman set the blogsphere abuzz Sunday night at the annual Academy Awards when she walked the red carpet with her beau Benjamin Millepied wearing -- a wedding band set?! It looks like the star has secretly tied the knot, since Millepied was also spotted wearing a wedding band, reports Us magazine.
The star, who won an Oscar at last year's Academy Awards for her striking performance in Black Swan, wore a stunning red vintage Dior gown. But what really stole the show was that second band on her ring finger.
Later, Perez Hilton confirmed the marriage in a statement from jeweler Jaime Wolf who said, "I designed the rings worn by Benjamin Millepied and Natalie Portman. They were made with recycled platinum and conflict free diamonds."
We know she's a pretty private star, but we have to admit, we're really hoping we get at least one shot of her wearing (what was no doubt) a gorgeous wedding gown.

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa Engaged!
Model Amber Rose and rapper Wiz Khalifa are now engaged, reports Us Weekly.
The couple set the Twitter world abuzz Thursday morning when both tweeted pics of Rose’s gorgeous oval-shaped diamond.
“He has made me the Happiest Woman in the World!!!!” Rose gushed. Khalifa confirmed his excitement on Twitter: “She Said Yes!!!”
Rose, 28, and Grammy-nominated artist Khalifa, 24, started dating just over a year ago, following Rose’s infamous 2010 breakup with Kanye West.
The couple has been anything but private about their relationship. At the Grammy Awards last month (when Khalifa lost out to West for best rap song) Rose implied to E! that marriage was in the future. “We want to get married. We’re just taking our time.”
The duo tweeted cute-sy shout-outs to each other throughout the day on Thursday. “Love Is Everywhere,” Khalifa wrote, with Rose later announcing, “This is the happiest Day of my Life #LoveisBeautiful.”
