We joined Chinese American A Soolip Wedding founder and gracious living guru Wanda Wen and exclusive Wen-curated A-list wedding panelists at Black, Starr, & Frost in Newport Beach on February 1 for a preview of the latest in modern wedding style and how to plan weddings from the heart.
A Soolip Wedding has transformed from its beginnings as a West Hollywood luxury paper boutique, Soolip Paperie & Press, to an established lifestyle brand modeled by Wen’s signature creativity and distinctive taste for all things beautiful.
All brides-to-be are invited to attend A Soolip Wedding modern bridal event in San Francisco at Bently Reserve on February 26 and Los Angeles at Bel Air Bay Club on March 4. Tickets may be purchased online.

Gowns showcased included JLM Couture Lazaro and Tara Keely collections acclaimed designer Lazaro Perez’s opulent, dramatic creations, including a gorgeous sherbet colored piece. Lazaro finds inspiration through hearing from brides about what they want. The new flagship JLM Couture store will open in WeHo this month.
Black, Starr, & Frost displayed sought-after custom made wedding day jewels, including conflict-free diamonds and the jeweler’s signature pave silk ring. The breath-taker of the day was the magnificent Archduke Joseph loose diamond, the 12th largest white diamond in the world, at over 70 carats and worth at least $60 million. Pictured: a signature pave silk ring (created with a blend of industrial and digital technology for an incredibly smooth finish), sparkly engagement ring, and the dazzling Archduke Joseph diamond.
We savored breakfast delicacies like French Toast Nutella and Smoked Salmon Breakfast Flatbread Pizza personally presented by Good Gracious! Events chef and author Pauline Parry. Good Gracious! Events earth consciously gives leftover food to local missions and does not use bottled water at its events. Pictured: Frisse Pancetta Salad (with fried quail eggs, crispy Yukon fried potato and avocado tossed in a light lemon champagne vinaigrette), Berry Smoothie Caramel Clusters and bacon wrapped turkey sausage.
Other featured panelists included expert event planner David Pressman and floral botanical stylist Krista Jon Levandofsky, known for her larger-than-life living succulent walls, love of vintage, and succulent bouquets that brides can take home and plant. The San Francisco bridal event will feature Jin Wang’s elegant bridal collection and jeweler Mabel Chong.
