Wedding Asia, a three-day exhibition, will showcase wedding trends for the coming season and also provide an opportunity to interact with leading brands from the fashion and lifestyle sector. It will begin July 22.
‘Wedding Asia is not about exhibiting the best from the world of the quintessential Indian wedding, but also a platform for the young and talented designers to exhibit their creativity viz-a-viz the collections they will display. Our endeavour is to create a luxury event that will encapsulate various flavours of Indian trousseau and bridal wear,’ said Wedding Asia director Maninder Sethi.
The event is coming to capital after doing well in Ludhiana, where it started in 2006 and has been an annual event since then.
‘Wedding Asia will be a podium where all the connoisseurs of luxury will get a chance to interact, network and buy the brands that have been hand-picked by our team. After Delhi, we have plans to go to Mumbai and then to Macau, Bangkok and Dubai, thus percolating the Indian flavour at a pan-Asian level,’ he added.
The exhibition will see participation from some of the leading players from the lifestyle and wedding sector.
‘When it comes to a wedding, every bride in the world goes through unprecedented emotions, and it is this anxiety, unbound happiness and a bit of nostalgia that binds every bride in the world together. Wedding Asia is one such platform where would-be-brides will get every possible thing under one roof,’ Sethi told IANS.
